The Bonnie Brae neighborhood is a serene and quiet residential area that contains only 700 homes. One of the most well known mansions in Denver, the Phipps Mansion, is located in this area. The mansion is often used for charity events, political fundraisers and weddings.  Notable events held at the Phipps Mansion include visits by numerous United States Presidents and Presidential candidates, and the Opening Night Party for a recent Harry Potter movie.  

Bonnie Brae Home 2The name Bonnie Brae means “Pleasant Hills” in Gaelic. In the 1920s, the neighborhood was designed to mirror a village in Scotland.  Bonnie Brae became a serene enclave of stately homes attractively situated on curved streets bordered by lush landscaping.  For decades, Bonnie Brae had stood virtually unchanged. 
                                                                                                              
Residents can walk to a quaint strip of businesses along University Boulevard between  Ohio and Exposition Aves.  Many of the businesses along this block have been at this same location since the 1930s including the famous Bonnie Brae Tavern which first opened in 1934.
 
Bonnie Brae is located in the south west section of the Belcaro neighborhood. It is centrally located east of Washington Park and south of Cherry Creek. The Cherry Creek Mall and shopping area is only 1.5 miles to the north of Bonnie Brae.

There are many different types of architecture in Bonnie Brae including brick ranches, Cape Cods, and English Tudors and new construction.  Price range have also been a huge factor in the popularity of these homes. Home prices range from as little as $300,000 up to the multi-million dollar range.  Because of the huge popularity of Bonnie Brae, homes hold their value well.
