The Capitol Hill Neighborhood is located southeast of Downtown Denver, and includes the Colorado State Capitol Building at Colfax and Broadway at the northwest boundary of the neighborhood. Capitol Hill is one of Denver’s most densely populated neighborhoods. It was once the home of Denver’s elite, but is now an eclectic mix of historic homes, high rise condominiums, row houses, brick apartments, and modest single family homes. There is a great deal of history in this neighborhood including the Molly Brown House. A considerable number of the mansions have been converted to offices and other commercial uses, condominiums and bed and breakfast places, but their spectacular exteriors have been well preserved.
The Capitol Hill neighborhood has an urban and cosmopolitan character. Residents come from a diverse mix of backgrounds, and it is a well known haven for artists. Capitol Hill offers homebuyers a variety of options including starter condos, moderate priced single family residences, duplexes, luxury high rise living, and mansions as big as you can imagine. With downtown Denver within walking distance and the housing priced for all types of buyers, Capitol Hill is one of Denver’s most popular locations.
