The result has been more housing options in Cherry Creek than ever before, and a variety of price ranges. The Cherry Creek Shopping Center located along 1st Avenue is known as the premier mall in Denver. There is an additional shopping area north of 1st Avenue called Cherry Creek North which has over 300 stores. The Whole Foods at the corner of 1st and University was the first in the city of Denver. One of the most popular festivals in Denver is the Cherry Creek Arts Festival which is held annually on the Fourth of July weekend and draws over 300,000 people.
