Originally, the area now known as Park Hill was purchased by the German Baron von Winckler who envisioned an expansive park and residential area during The City Beautiful Movement of the late 1800's. The Baron failed in his efforts and he took his own life in 1898.
The land was purchased and subdivided over time which accounts for the architectural diversity of the area. Neighborhood Boundaries North: MLK Blvd East: Colorado Boulevard South: Colfax West: Monaco Boulevard If you are interested in learning more about Historic Park Hill click here -
